President Biden, VP Harris & Donald Trump Attend NYC 9/11 Ceremony

NEW YORK CITY — President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and Former President Donald Trump appeared together in New York City Wednesday for a September 11 ceremony honoring those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks 23 years ago.

Harris and Trump met again hours after a debate on national television last night

On a C-SPAN livestream, you could see the two shake hands as they arrived to the 9/11 memorial. Former Mayor Mike Bloomberg, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), JD Vance (R-Ohio) and former Mayor Rudy Giuliani also appeared at the ceremony.

The memorial service began at 8:30 a.m.

The names of each of the victims were read and a moment of silence was held during the moments in which the planes struck the north and south towers.

A bell rang at 8:46 a.m. when American Airlines Flight 11 struck the World Trade Center’s North Tower, 23 years ago.

At 9:03 a.m., another bell rang for when United Airlines Flight 175 struck the South Tower.

56 minutes later, the ceremony acknowledges the time of the South Tower collapse. At 10:28 a.m., there was a moment of silence to signify the collapse of the North Tower.

Biden and Harris will also be attending a ceremony for the Flight 93 victims in Shanksville, Pa. later today and will be at the Pentagon this afternoon as well.
