How To Get To The Game
The MTA is ready for the Subway Series-bound.
7 Train
Express and local Queens-bound 7 trains will be provided approximately every two to three minutes from 34th Street Hudson Yards to the Mets Willets Point Station during the peak evening rush hour to prevent crowd overflow, according to New York City Transit.
More NYPD and MTAPD officers will be along the 7-line express and local platforms and onboard as straphangers get off the Mets-Willets Point Station located at Roosevelt Avenue near 126th Street at Citi Field, according to the transportation agency.
At the conclusion of the Subway Series games, there are five gap trains (normally only four for other baseball games), which will provide 7 super-express service (Mets-Willets Point, 61 St-Woodside, Queensboro Plaza, Court Square, Grand Central, 5th Avenue, Times Square, and 34 St-Hudson Yards), the transportation agency added.
“You won’t get Mets and Yankees fans to agree on much, but one thing they can agree on is that public transit offers the most convenient and affordable options to get to what should be a jam-packed Citi Field for the Subway Series,” NYC Transit President Richard Davey said in a prepared statement. “The 7 train, Q48 bus and Access-A-Ride all stop right at Citi Field’s front door.”
The Q48 And Access-A-Ride
The Q48 bus stop is also right in front of Citi Field and Access-A-Ride paratransit has a designated stop at Citi Field located at 41 Seaver Way (126th Street and 37th Avenue), south of the BullPen Gate in the Passenger Loading Zone (second cut out) directly in front of the AMWAY awning.

LIRR
The LIRR provides direct service to the Mets-Willets Point Station all season long via the Port Washington Branch, a 19-minute ride from Penn Station.
Citi Field is 17 minutes from Great Neck and 27 minutes from Port Washington.
Fans traveling from Long Island on other branches can reach Citi Field by changing at Woodside, just a five-minute ride from the stadium, according to the MTA.
There are five eastbound trains from Penn Station which will get fans to Citi Field between 6:00 p.m. and 6:59 p.m. in time for the first pitch which is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. At the end of each game, LIRR service will run approximately every 30 minutes from Citi Field, in both directions, into Manhattan and to Port Washington, with a few extra trains on standby.
Non-Port Washington branch customers going back to Long Island can take an LIRR train or the 7 train to Woodside then transfer to all other destinations, said the MTA.
MetroNorth
Mets fans from The Bronx, the northern suburbs or Connecticut can catch any Metro-North train to Grand Central and transfer to the 7 subway to Citi Field, added the agency.
