Rapist NYC Club Promoter Gets 18-To-Life: DA
Christopher Macias, 35, violently raped two college students in his car, authorities said.
NEW YORK CITY — A New York City club promoter who violently raped two college students inside his car will spend 18 years-to-life in prison, prosecutors said.
Christopher Macias, 35, of North Bergen, learned the lengthy sentence Monday in a Manhattan courtroom, where a predatory sexual assault against him case closed.
Prosecutors said Macias abused his power as a supervisor at nightclubs to prey upon two young women.

"While we cannot erase what happened, I hope there is some sense of closure knowing Christopher Macias is being held accountable for the brutal crimes he committed," said Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, in a statement.
The two rapes unfolded weeks apart in September 2021, authorities said.

Macias took one woman, a college freshman, out to dinner Sept. 6, 2021, under the guise of a business meeting, prosecutors said.
After the bogus meeting, Macias drove the woman off FDR Drive and raped her inside his car, authorities said.
The next rape took place Sept. 18, 2021, when Macias drove another woman — who was in her last year of college — after their shifts ended at a nightclub, authorities said.
He stopped his car in Greenwich Village about 5 a.m., and tried forcibly raped her, prosecutors said.
The woman tried to fight Macias off, prompting a physical attack that left her with a bleeding ear, swollen arm and other injuries, authorities said.
Prosecutors leveled charges against Macias that led to a trial in which jurors in November found him guilty of predatory sexual assault, first-degree rape and a first-degree criminal sexual act.
