Have you ever wanted a good ol' fashioned handyman to take care of small jobs around the apartment — like painting, carpet shampooing, mold and mildew, flooring, picture hanging, deep cleaning, flat screen install etc.? Lois and Mark of “At Your Service” are a one stop shop based in Yorkville who specialize in small jobs in NYC apartments and townhouses. They’re insured and also work closely with realtors and landlords. Email or call Lois for an estimate: lois@yourserviceman.com or 917-560-2947.

Here are the top five stories today in New York City:
- The long awaited extension of the Second Avenue Subway on Manhattan's east side is finally advancing. According to court filings, the MTA is planning to seize the first of over a dozen private properties along the route, which will stretch to 125th Street in East Harlem, to the dismay of some local property owners. (New York City Patch)
- Alternate-Side Parking rules are returning to their old twice-weekly schedule on July 5, as part of an $11 million investment in street cleaning announced by the new Department of Sanitation Commissioner, Jessica Tisch. (New York City Patch)
- There aren't enough lawyers to go around in New York City's housing court, despite a local law passed last year that guarantees a "right to counsel" for tenants facing eviction proceedings. The Legal Aid Society requested that the city court system limit the number of eviction cases scheduled until public defenders can keep up with demand. (New York City Patch)
- COVID cases in NYC are still on the rise, with roughly three times as many–2,624–reported on April 15 as a month before. The city's on track to hitting the level of "medium" risk, as compared to its current "low" designation, but both Governor Hochul and Mayor Adams are, in their own words, saying they aren't prepared to take the same measures as during the winter's Omicron wave. (New York City Patch)
- Former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg is teaming up with Adams to secure $50 million in funding for the city's charter schools to host summer school programs. The "Summer Boost" fund will complement the already existing Summer Rising program open to all public and charter students. (New York City Patch)

- Spring is finally here–and we know that's a fact because 30 Rock star and comedian Tracy Morgan was spotted over the weekend riding his red convertible Lamborgini with the top down, in Washington Heights. (New York City Patch)
- Workers at multiple NYC Starbucks locations sought to unionize on Friday, following at least 225 other shops nationwide. (New York City Patch)
- Learn about the Made In NY Production Assistant Training Program, which, through the city's Office of Media and Entertainment, can help you land a TV or film job. (Facebook)
