Sources Tell CBS2 Dozens Of Sanitation Employees Provided Fake COVID Vaccine Cards After Mandate Took Effect

Sunday night, a source from the Department of Sanitation told CBS2 at least 50 workers provided fake vaccine verification.

Ninety-three percent of New York City employees are vaccinated, but now, two weeks after the mandate took effect, there’s word that dozens may have submitted fake vaccine cards.

Sunday trash pickup was never a thing in the city, but it has been for the last two weeks. Eighty-seven percent of sanitation workers are vaccinated and have had to pick up the slack for those who are not due to the city’s Nov. 1 mandate.

But Sunday night, a source from the Department of Sanitation told CBS2 at least 50 workers provided fake vaccine verification.
