Suspect Charged In Shooting Death Of NYC Woman, Police Say
The suspect was taken into custody on Tuesday.
QUEENS, NY — A 62-year-old homeless man has been charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of a woman in Queens last month, police announced Wednesday.
Audwin Caines was arrested on Tuesday, and has also been charged with criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment, police said.
Caines is accused of fatally shooting Chaneil Ramsay, 45, in the head in front of 176-11 127 Avenue on June 23, police said.

Officers found Ramsay unresponsive at the scene and took her to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jamaica where she was later pronounced dead.
Defense attorney information for Caines was not readily available as of Wednesday morning.
