Thief Snatches Manhattan DA Laptops After Breaking Into NYC Courthouse

No arrests have been made as of Thursday afternoon.

NEW YORK CITY — A thief allegedly snuck into Manhattan Criminal Court over the weekend and made off with laptops and other gear from the district attorney's office, according to a report.

The incident happened last Sunday around 5:20 p.m. as the suspect walked into 100 Centre Street and managed to get into the offices through an unlocked door of the courthouse, the New York Postreported.

The thief managed to steal a pair of headphones from a courtroom before heading to the 15th floor and into the Violent Criminal Enterprise Bureau office, according to the report.

That's where the suspect stole two laptops. The whole ordeal lasted about 20 minutes.

No arrests have been made as of Thursday afternoon. Police have not disclosed any additional information on the suspect.
