NEW YORK CITY — A 15-year-old boy has been charged with second degree murder in the shooting death of a 16-year-old, police announced Friday.

Police arrested the 15-year-old boy on Thursday.

Clarence Jones,16, died after he was shot in Harlem near West 124th Street and Lenox Avenue at about 1:40 a.m. on Oct. 24., police said.

Police found Jones with a gunshot wound to his torso, Patch previously reported.

Jones was transported to Harlem Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police were looking for two suspect prior to Thursday's arrest. It is unclear if a second suspect has been taken into custody.

According to PIX11, a car had been struck by a stray bullet in the shooting. The driver’s side was hit, and the driver, who was reportedly in the car, was taken to the hospital. Police don’t believe the driver was shot, but glass from the car's window reportedly fell on the driver when a bullet hit the vehicle.
