NEW YORK CITY — An 18-year-old woman was left seriously injured after she fell onto the tracks in a botched subway surfing attempt, police said Friday.

The incident happened on Wednesday near the West 135th Street-Lenox Avenue subway station in Harlem around 6 pm., police said.

The alleged subway surfer was attempting to climb atop a moving southbound No. 2 train when she fell between two train cars and onto the tracks, police said.

The 18-year-old was transported to Harlem Hospital in critical condition with severe injuries to her right arm and right leg, police said.

PIX11 is reporting that the victim may have lost her arm and leg.

Late last month, a 13-year-old girl, was killed attempting to subway surf on a southbound No. 7 train at the 111th Street station in Corona, Queens.
