Teen Driver Arrested In NYC Wrong-Way Crash That Killed 2: NYPD

Before the arrest, Mayor Eric Adams offered up a $1,000 reward for any information leading to the driver. ​

NEW YORK CITY — A 17-year-old teen has been arrested and charged in connection into a hit-and-run crash that killed 2 men last month, police announced.

The teen has been charged with second degree vehicular manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, police said.

On Aug. 24, the suspect is accused of driving a pick-up truck on the wrong side of the Henry Hudson Parkway around 2:30 a.m. and slamming head on into a Dodge Challenger carrying Kirk Walker, 38, and cousin Rob McLaurin, 40, police said.

The 38-year-old Walker was poised to get married hours later, according to multiple media reports.

The suspect fled the scene near 165th Street.
