These Billionaires Are NYC's Richest Residents
New York City billionaires include a pet food mogul, Jared Kushner's brother, and a former mayor...not Bill de Blasio. Think back.
NEW YORK CITY — More than a hundred billionaires live it up in New York City and they include a former mayor, a pet food mogul, and the Facebook twins, according to Forbes World's recently released list of the world's richest people.
Former Mayor Michael Bloomberg ranked first among city dwellers and 12th among the world's billionaires — who collectively cash in at $12.7 trillion — with a net worth of $82 billion, according to Forbes' real-time billionaires rankings.
Up second comes Julia Koch — of Koch Industries, the second largest private conglomerate in the U.S. — with a worth of $60 billion and a global ranking of 21, according to Forbes.

Koch among just 10 women who made New York City's 108-billionaire list.
The luxury world appears to be doing well — gotta keep those billionaires in their mink hot tubs and diamond helicopters (this reporter is unfamiliar with affluence) — as owners of Estee Lauder, Chanel, Ralph Lauren all made the list.

Fox News' Rupert Murdoch ranked 76th with $20.8 billion.
Other NYC notables include the Winklevoss twins, Valerie Mars (of Mars Bars, Pedigree and Whiskas) and Jared Kushner's brother Joshua, the listing shows.
The United States still leads the world with 735 billionaires worth a collective $4.7 trillion. This includes Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who tops the World’s Billionaires List for the first time.
Former Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos fell to the second spot on this year’s list. Bezos, who founded the e-commerce giant out of his garage in Seattle, Washington, stepped down as CEO in 2021 and is now executive chairman of the company.
