NEW YORK — Authorities are monitoring threats against bridges and tunnels connecting Manhattan and Queens just days before the 24th anniversary of 9/11, according to law enforcement.

Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch addressed the threats at a press conference streamed late Tuesday on Facebook, where she said local authorities were working with federal partners through a joint terrorism task force to investigate.

“Out of an abundance of caution, we are surging resources and you can expect to see an increased police presence at critical infrastructure locations,” Tisch said.
