"I've decided to focus on family, self-care, and new endeavors," Pearson said.
NEW YORK CITY — Tim Pearson, a top aide to Mayor Eric Adams, announced he would be resigning late Monday night.
Pearson said in a letter to Adams that his last day would be Friday, Oct. 4, according to multiple media reports.
"I've decided to focus on family, self-care, and new endeavors," Pearson said.

Pearson's home was one of those raided by federal authorities on Sept. 4 along with other Adams officials, Patch previously reported. His phone was also seized.
"Tim has had a long career in both the public and private sectors, where he has spent over 30 years keeping New Yorkers safe. We appreciate Tim’s decades of service to this city and wish him well," Adams said in a statement Monday to ABC7 News.

Pearson is also under investigation for an alleged brawl at a homeless migrant shelter, as he's been named in multiple lawsuits.
Pearson is the fifth individual to leave the administration within the last month.
Schools chancellor David Banks, Edward Caban, chief counsel Lisa Sternberg, and health commissioner Ashwin Vasan have all left the administration.
Over the weekend, Adams said he has no plans to resign during an appearance at a Bronx church.
The remarks come days after he pleaded not guilty to a five-count indictment where he is accused of accepting illegal campaign donations from Turkish officials.
"So you hear the small number of loud people saying, 'Well, he should step down.' No, I'm gonna step up," Adams said at a public appearance at Emmanuel Presbyterian Reformed Church in the Bronx on Sunday.
"I'm not going to resign, I'm going to reign," he added.
The mayor is expected back in court on Wednesday, where his lawyer Alex Spiro is expected to ask for the charges to be dismissed.
