NEW YORK CITY – Tropical Storm Fay, packing 60 mph winds, was located about 170 miles south of New York City late Friday morning and remains on track to make landfall, probably on the Jersey Shore, Friday night.

The main concerns for the city are flash flooding, which has already occurred in parts of New Jersey (see photos below), and damaging winds that may cause power outages, falling tree limbs and other dangers. There's also a chance of tornadoes.

The heaviest rain will likely be during the afternoon and evening hours Friday. The strongest winds are forecasted for Friday night.
