Tropical Storm Isaias Expected To Affect NYC
The storm was in the Caribbean and headed toward Florida Thursday. It's then expected to track north.

NEW YORK CITY – A tropical storm currently battering Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and the Virgin Islands with winds up to 70 mph and torrential rain is expected to track north, coming close to New York City.
Tropical Storm Isaias was heading across the Caribbean Thursday and was expected to hit southern Florida Saturday morning before turning to head up the coast, the National Hurricane Center forecast.
It's predicted to be off the coast of Virginia by Monday.

"There is a risk of impacts from winds, heavy rainfall and storm surge along portions of the U.S. east coast beginning this weekend in Florida and spreading northward to the Carolinas and southern mid-Atlantic states early next week," the center said.
Predictions at the moment show it passing just off New York's coast, though the path could change, forecasters said.

Isaias would be the second tropical storm in a month to affect New York City. Tropical Storm Fayhit on July 10 with heavy rain and strong winds.
