Migrant 'Cowards' Attack NYPD Cops In Times Square Scuffle: NYPD Brass
"Reprehensible," said a top cop about men who attacked officers in a caught-and-video brawl and were released without bail.

NEW YORK CITY — A throng of asylum seekers who beat NYPD cops in a caught-on-video attack in Times Square have been released without bail, prompting a wave of outrage and disbelief.
"Reprehensible. Cowards," said NYPD Chief of Patrol John Chell about the Jan. 27 scuffle.
Video from the Jan. 27 scuffle released by the NYPD shows several men punch and kick officers who were struggling to place another man into custody outside Candler Tower, a building being used to house migrants.

"The four that were arrested should be sitting in Rikers right now on bail, should be indicted this week and taken off the streets," Chell said.
"We can't have this in our city," tweeted Council Member Justin Brannan.
"If the people sworn to protect us aren't safe, then nobody is safe. And released without bail? After jumping a cop?! Insane. What message does that send?"
