CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A worker at a Crown Heights daycare was caught on surveillance footage dragging and then sitting on a 3-year-old girl she was supposed to be looking after.
ABC7 got the security camera video showing a woman identified as Ekaterina Silva mistreating Lauren Henry, the little girl at Bambi Daycare Center on Rogers Avenue, between Crown and Montgomery streets.
She picks the little girl up by her shirt and hoists her into her crib. Then, when the girl wouldn't lie down, the worker sits on the girl.

"I felt bad because I wasn't there to protect her, somebody was hurting my baby and she was crying for me and I wasn't there to protect her," the girl's mother, Diasa Gillespie, told ABC7.
Allison Reid, who owns the daycare center, told the TV station that the employee had only been on the job for a week.
"Her defense was she was trained in special education and because the child was out of control, she was holding the child," Reid said.
