NEW YORK — Many New Yorkers clear out of the city over Labor Day weekend to soak in the sun one last time before the unofficial end of summer. While most of those who stay will likely welcome a day off from work on Monday, they may have to switch up their routines.

Pretty much every government building will be closed Sept. 2, and your bank probably will be, too. Commuting will be a little tougher with subways and buses running on a weekend schedule. But drivers won't have to move their cars for street cleaning.

Here's a look at what will be open and closed for Labor Day in the Big Apple.
