What's Open, Closed On President's Day In NYC
You might have to change your routine for the holiday marking George Washington's birthday.

NEW YORK — Americans will mark the birthday of the nation's first president on Monday — but only a handful can celebrate at home. Just 37 percent of U.S. employers offer a paid holiday for President's Day, according to a 2017 Bloomberg BNA news release.
The holiday commemorating George Washington's birthday is sometimes used as an occasion to celebrate all presidents. This year it also marks the start of midwinter recess in New York City's public schools, which might spark some patriotism among students.
Government buildings, libraries and post offices will also be closed Monday, and public transit service will be scaled back.
