NEW YORK CITY — A 43-year-old woman has been arrested and charged after she stabbed a photographer who had accidentally taken a picture of her in the West Village last month.

Magdalene Lyngdoh was arrested on Thursday and charged with second-degree assault in connection with the May 5 stabbing of a 36-year-old man, police announced.

The incident happened around 4:20 p.m. in front of 204 Varick Street, police said.

Lyngdoh is accused of getting into an argument with the photographer before punching him in the shoulder. She then stabbed the man with scissors in the back.

The 43-year-old woman fled the scene and was captured on surveillance video entering the Houston Street subway station.

The victim sustained minor injuries but refused medical attention at the scene.
