Woman Jumps To Her Death From Midtown Apartment: NYPD

MIDTOWN, NY — A woman tragically jumped to her death from a Midtown apartment balcony Wednesday morning, police said.

A witnesses told investigators that they saw a woman scale her apartment balcony on East 46th Street and Third Avenue at about 8 a.m., officials said.

They then watched in horror as the woman leapt from the balcony, then landing on top of scaffolding below, police said.

The 51-year-old woman was declared dead at the scene by first responders, officials said.
