Woman Killed, 2 Injured In Hit-And-Run Crash In Midtown, Police Say
The suspected driver was taken into custody.
NEW YORK CITY — A pedestrian was killed, and two others were injured after being struck by a minivan in Midtown Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The incident happened at East 40th Street and Fifth Avenue near Bryant Park around 2:40 p.m.
According to police, a 50-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man were crossing the street when the blue Toyota Minivan hit them.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The 55-year-old was taken to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition. Another person refused medical attention.
The suspected driver was taken into custody at West 38th Street and 8th Avenue, according to ABC 7 New York.
