Woman Who Walloped Cello Player In Viral NYC Attack Arrested: Police
Amira Hunter, 23, is the woman seen in a viral video hitting a subway busker over the head with a water bottle, authorities said.

NEW YORK CITY — A woman who walloped a cello player over the head with a water bottle as he busked in a Manhattan subway station has been arrested, authorities said.
Amira Hunter, 23, faces an assault charge in the viral Feb. 13 attack inside 34th Street-Herald Square station.
Video showed the cellist — identified as 29-year-old medical student Iain Forrest — playing when a woman walks up from behind, picks up his metal water bottle and bashes him in the head.

"I just felt this impact, this terrible crashing pain along the back of my head," Forrest told Inside Edition.
The attack left Forrest with a cut on his head, police said. He tweeted it took him time to even touch his cello again after the attack, although he's now back to playing.

The video showing the attack has since been seen 13 million times on Forrest's X account.
Police had also spread a photo and videos showing the suspected attacker.
Their investigation ultimately led to the arrest of Hunter late Wednesday, authorities said.
