2022 Fight Outside Hudson Valley Bar Led To Murder, And Now A Lengthy Prison Sentence
54-year-old Luis Pindiusaca-Villa was stabbed in the throat with a kitchen knife, outside of a bar in the Village of Spring Valley.

SPRING VALLEY, NY — A Spring Valley man has been sentenced for a slaying that started as a fight outside of a local watering hole.
District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh, II announced that 30-year-old Oscar Garcia-Garcia, of Spring Valley, was sentenced to 25 years to life in state prison on Wednesday. A Rockland County jury convicted Garcia-Garcia of second-degree murder after a three-week jury trial in March.

Late in the evening, on December 28, 2022, Garcia-Garcia was in a bar in the Village of Spring Valley and came in contact with 54-year-old Luis Pinduisaca-Villa. Garcia-Garcia waited for Pinduisaca-Villa to leave the bar in the early morning hours of December 29, and followed him.
Around 1 a.m., Garcia-Garcia then stabbed Pinduisaca-Villa in his throat area with a large kitchen knife. A pedestrian soon found Pinduisaca-Villa's body lying in the middle of the road, and then contacted authorities.

The Village of Spring Valley Police Department investigated the case and collected evidence with the help of the Rockland County Sheriff's Department Bureau of Criminal Investigation. Blood evidence, articles of clothing, and a large kitchen knife were all recovered from the area where Pinduisaca-Villa's body had been located.
Garcia-Garcia was interviewed by detectives and admitted to stabbing the victim, and was then arrested.
