Man Accused Of Sexual Misconduct Against Child In Rockland County: NYSP
State police say the Orange County man had been inappropriately touching several juvenile male victims over the course of twenty years.

ROCKLAND/ORANGE COUNTIES, NY — A Hudson Valley man has been charged in connection to a sex abuse investigation that revealed decades of abuse, and multiple victims, according to police.
New York State Police say that 57-year-old James Valentine, of Cornwall, was arrested on Wednesday for abuse that took place over several years in the Town of Clarkstown.
On June 4, investigators from SP Montgomery Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) received a report that two 15-year-old male victims had inappropriate interactions with Valentine at his home.

A state police BCI investigation said their investigation found that Valentine had been inappropriately touching several juvenile male victims over the course of twenty years.
Valentine was charged with felony first-degree attempted criminal sexual act, and felony second-degree course of sexual conduct against a child.

After arraignment in the Town of Clarkstown Court, he was remanded to the Rockland County Jail with bail set at $25,000 cash, $50,000 bond, or $75,000 partially secured bond.
Valentine is scheduled to return to the Town of Clarkstown Court on July 7.
State police were assisted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation New York's Hudson Valley Safe Streets Task Force, the Town of Clarkstown Police, the Rockland County District Attorney's Office, and the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
New York State Police say they believe that there are several unidentified victims both within and outside of New York State. They are requesting that parents speak with their children, and any additional witnesses or victims contact the state police at 845-344-5300, referencing Case Number #NY2500504980.
