ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — A Bardonia resident is facing charges that he tried to send sexually explicit materials to a 14-year-old girl.

The “girl” was actually an undercover investigator, according to the Rockland County District Attorney’s office.

Victor Caligiuri, 28, of Bardonia, has been charged with four counts of first-degree attempted dissemination of indecent materials to minors. He was arraigned in Rockland County Court, the district attorney’s office announced Thursday.

Prosecutors claim Caligiuri sent “sexually explicit” messages, photos and videos via the Kik messaging app to the investigator, who was posing as a 14-year-old girl, between June 1 and Aug. 31.

The undercover investigation was a joint effort between the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office, the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and Homeland Security Investigations.
