Bardonia Woman Gets a Year in Jail for Incident on Route 303
She must use DWI-prevention device on any car she uses when she gets out of jail.

A Bardonia woman has been sentenced to a year in the Rockland County Correctional Facility for a 2012 incident on Route 303 in Clarkstown.
Christina Atzl, 24, has pleaded guilty to first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a felony, and was given the jail time by County Court Judge Charles Apotheker.
Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Zugibe said Atzl was arrested about 2 a.m. on June 28, 2012, on Route 303. Zugibe said Atzl was under the influence of alcohol and driving while her license had been suspended.

In addition to the county jail time, Apotheker ordered that Atzl must for one year use an ignition interlock device on any car she uses when she gets out of jail. The device is designed to prevent drivers from starting the car if they have been drinking.
Atzl was also fined $500 and his with $395 in court surcharges.
