Driver Stopped for Speeding on Route 303 Charged with DWI

Sleepy Hollow man arrested 4:16 a.m. Friday by Rockland Sheriff's officer.

A Westchester County man stopped for traffic violations on Route 303 has been charged with drunk driving, according to the Rockland County Sheriff's Department.

Alec J. Robinson, 23, of Sleepy Hollow, was stopped by a Sheriff's officer at 4:16 a.m. on Route 303 in Clarkstown. Police said that Robinson was found to be intoxicated when he was questioned.

Robinson was taken to the Rockland County Sheriff's Headquarters in New City and was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and citied for violations including speeding, failing to stop at a stop sign and following too close.

He was later released pending a May 6 hearing in Clarkstown Town Court.
