The Central Nyack Fire Department extinguished a fire at 362 Sierra Vista Lane in Valley Cottage at 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday. No injuires were reported and residents who were evacuated from Building 5 were allowed to return to their homes. Clarkstown police also responded and reported a small fire was discovered on the deck and exterior wall of the building causing minor damage. Police report the cause of the blaze is under investigation but that it does not appear to be suspicious.
