Rockland Legislature meets Wednesday on issues from approving additional antennas on cell tower to issuing bonds for medical equipment

When the Rockland County Legislature meets Wednesday it will vote on the list of positions that require financial disclosure statements to be filed for 2012. Two groups must file the information. One includes elected officials and employees and appointees who have professional licenses or are in policymaking roles. The second group is comprised of volunteer members and chairpersons of boards and commissions.
The agenda for the 7 p.m. meeting also includes a vote on Nextel’s application to install six more remote radio heads on the county owned cell tower at 94 Lime Kiln Road in Wesley Hills. The radios would be installed 138 feet above the ground. The county would receive $600 more per month for a total of $7,200 annually. The current contract runs through March 31, 2026.

Legislators will vote on issuing $450,000 o bonds for hospital medical gases equipment and on increasing the amount of the financial advisory services contract with Capital Market Advisors LLC of Great Neck by $150,000. The amendment to the contract would increase the total to $300,000 for the contract, which covers from April 1, 2013 through March 31, 2014. It also carries a provision for three additional one-year contract extensions.
The county clerk’s report for 2012 will be received and filed. Legislators will vote on awarding a $199,980 contract to Bergmann Associates of Rochester for analysis and design for embankment repairs to the Minisceongo Creek on south Route 9W in the Town of Haverstraw. The stream’s embankment suffered major damage from Hurricane Irene in 2011.
