Legislature To Vote On Bond Approvals

The Rockland County Legislature meets Tuesday at 7 p.m. with an agenda dealing with bond approvals. The members will vote on bonds for improvements to Dutch Gardens, purchase of computer hardware and software, fire and smoke alarm security system upgrades, a flood remediation study of Nauraushaun Brook and Hurricane Sandy debris cleanup.

They will vote on the county finance commissioner’s request to issue $60 million in Revenue Anticipation Notes and on the purchase of five wheelchair accessible vehicles for $229,920, which will be reimbursed. Additionally, legislators will vote on a resolution to create eight new positions in the Sheriff’s Department for county emergency medical dispatch.
