Child Care Resources of Rockland

Child Care Resources of Rockland supports families, educators and child care providers through programs that strengthen early learning and expand access to quality care across the county. Volunteers can assist with administrative projects, support literacy through the Tales for Tots reading program or help with outreach efforts that promote early childhood education.

Keep Rockland Beautiful

This New City-based organization has been leading cleanup efforts and environmental education programs across Rockland County for nearly 30 years, mobilizing residents to create cleaner and greener shared spaces. In addition to Keep Rockland Beautiful’s two major annual campaigns — the spring Great American Cleanup and the fall Clean Sweep for Clean Streams — you can take part in independent cleanups year-round to remove litter from streets, parks and local waterways.

New City Rotary

The New City Volunteer Ambulance Corps provides emergency medical services to residents and is actively seeking new members who want to serve their community. Volunteers train as EMTs, assisting with emergency vehicle operations and supporting the squad in their work. New City Neighbors empowers youth and strengthens the community through its farm, café and neighborhood programs that blend job training with local food access. United Hospice

United Hospice supports patients and families with compassionate end-of-life care provided by an extensive team of trained volunteers. Both direct care and non-direct care service opportunities are available, with two locations in Rockland County and a third in Orange County. The organization asks prospective volunteers to wait at least one year after a loved one’s passing before signing up.
