Vince Louther is retiring after 14 years as Athletic Director at Clarkstown South High School.
Louther was recently honored along with other local retirees at the Rockland County Coaches Association Spring Barbecue.
"This was my 30th year in education and I was ready to do something different, "Louther said. "I'd like to get back into officiating. I used to do that when I lived on Long Island."
Louther began his career in education as a teacher on Long Island. He said the relationships he has at South are the hardest part to leave behind.
"It's bittersweet," Louther said. "I really like working with kids and the people I've worked with."
