Man Stabbed, Robbed Outside Palisades Center Mall: Police

The attack happened in the early morning hours Thursday while the mall was closed, according to police.

WEST NYACK, NY — A man was attacked by three assailants who stabbed, beat and robbed him early Thursday morning outside the Palisades Center mall, police said.

Clarkstown police said the attack happened around 1:35 a.m.

The victim told police he was assaulted shortly after exiting a Hudson Link bus in the mall’s J parking lot. The male assailants had just exited the bus at the same time, police said.

According to the victim, the men initially asked him for directions, but then “suddenly began physically assaulting him, punching him repeatedly,” police said.

One attacker produced what appeared to be a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times in the head and leg, according to police. The men stole the victim’s cell phone and money from his pockets.

The victim fled to the mall for safety, and he located a security officer, who immediately contacted 911, police said.

The three suspects were described as light-skinned males, in their late teens to early 20s. One was wearing an orange hoodie, according to police.

The victim was transported to a local hospital by the Congers-Valley Cottage Volunteer Ambulance Corps, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
