A 19-year-old from New City was charged with drunken driving after he was stopped by police on a street in New City, according to Clarkstown Police. Brandon Daqui was pulled over by a town officer at about 6:20 a.m. Sunday on Jean Lane. Police said he appeared intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests. Daqui was taken to Clarkstown Police Headquarters in New City, where police said he refused to take a chemical breath test for alcohol. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and several traffic violations. Daqui was arraigned in Clarkstown Town Court in New City and relased on $500 bail pending a hearing on Wednesday.
