Photography Show At Valley Cottage Library Blends Landscape, Street

VALLEY COTTAGE, NY — The Valley Cottage Library will feature a photography exhibit by local journalist Tina Traster this summer.

Called "American Beauty," the show is a collection of photographs that at first glance may seem random and somewhat unrelated, but are all about what it means to be or to feel connected or disconnected to others, to animals, to the land, to the world, the artist said.

Traster is a socially conscious, award-winning journalist, author, filmmaker, and photographer. She is also the Editor/Publisher of the Rockland County Business Journal. Traster's documentary films have played in festivals worldwide; Catnip Nation garnered several awards. Her written work and photography have appeared in newspapers, magazines, blogs, and literary journals.
