Pinwheels Mark Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month
Executive Ed Day joined with other officials to plant pinwheels for Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness month in Rockland County.

From the Office of Rockland County Executive Ed Day: Rockland County Executive Ed Day joined Department of Social Services coordinator Joan Silvestri (right) and Barbara Gavin, (center) DSS director of children and family services, at an event marking Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness month.
To demonstrate their commitment to the children and families they serve, DSS staff planted blue and white pinwheels in front of their building on the Dr. Robert Yeager Health Center campus in Pomona. The County Executive thanked the DSS staff for the hard work they do every day to keep children safe.
