Ramapo Police Announce Arrests Of 'Bamboozled' Thieves
Police allege folks from Brooklyn came up to Rockland to steal edible bamboo.
RAMAPO, NY — The Town of Ramapo Police Department Detective Bureau arrested three individuals stemming from two incidents of the theft of over $3,000 in edible bamboo from the yard of a residence in Wesley Hills.
The incidents were so unusual that police published a Facebook post with "BAMBOOzled!!!!" as the lead-in.
The first incident occurred May 11, police said when two suspects stole bamboo.

On May 20, the two suspects from the first larceny returned with a third person, and again over $3,000.00 in bamboo was stolen, police said.
The three, all from Brooklyn, NY, were arrested.

They face charges of Grand Larceny, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property and Trespass, police said. They were arraigned in Wesley Hills Court and released pending a future court date.
