Road Rage Tire Iron Assault In Parking Lot Leaves Victim Injured
Officers arrested the suspect a short time later and recovered the tire iron used in the assault as evidence, according to Ramapo police.

RAMAPO, NY — Road rage turned violent in a Hudson Valley parking lot, leaving one motorist hurt and another under arrest.
Just before 9 a.m., Ramapo police officers were called to investigate an assault in the parking lot on North Airmont Road. Investigators said the violence stemmed from a road rage dispute, during which a 30-year-old man from Spring Valley struck a 29-year-old West Nyack man with a tire iron.
The victim sustained injuries to his ribs, knee, elbow, and hip, according to police.

Officers arrested the suspect a short time later and recovered the tire iron believed to have been used in the assault as evidence.
The suspect was charged with felony second-degree assault, and is due to be arraigned.
