Rockland GOP Leader Due In Court On DWI Charges: Report

Stopped in Westchester County, he failed field sobriety tests and refused a breathalyzer test, according to The Journal News.

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — Rockland County Republican Committee Chairman Lawrence Garvey is due in court in Westchester County Feb. 14 to answer charges connected to a drunken-driving accusation, The Journal News reported.

Garvey, stopped on I-287 at around 5 p.m. Dec. 3 for a broken brake light, was headed back to New City from an event in Westchester, TJN said. He failed field sobriety tests and refused a breathalyzer test, according to the newspaper. His license was suspended for 15 days when he was arraigned Jan. 17.
