The 32 members of the 2013 Rockland County Police Academy class graduated Friday morning at a ceremony at the Fire Training Center attended by family and friends. The graduates will move on positions with various law enforcement agencies in Rockland and Orange counties, several district attorney’s offices and the state attorney general’s office.

Cunnane received the Academic Achievement Award from the county’s Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association and Usefof received the Excellence in Firearms presentation from the Police Academy. Mercier-Blanchard was presented with the Excellence in Defensive Tactics from the Police Chief’s Association of Rockland County and Molina earned the Excellence in Physical Fitness presentation from the Rockland County Shields. The Rockland County Sheriff’s Deputies Association gave the Val Swartwout Memorial Award for Excellence in Emergency Medical Care to Perrotta and Usefof received the School Director’s Award from the Rockland County Police Academy staff.
Other presentations went to Pacione who received the Police Offices Jason D. Conklin Memorial Ward and Vitale-O’Sullivan who received the Police Officer Jason D. Conklin Memorial Scholarship both from Stephanie Conklin-Cole. Taylor received the Physical Fitness Instructors Award from the Academy P.T. Instructors. Rockland District Attorney Thomas Zugibe, Orangetown Police Chief Kevin Nulty, Rockland Fire & Emergency Services Director Gordon Wren and Rockland Sheriff Louis Falco spoke at the ceremony.
