Rockland Teen On Motorbike Dies Tuesday In Collision With Snowplow: PD

The crash happened Tuesday at the intersection of North Liberty Drive and Wayne Avenue in Stony Point.

STONY POINT, NY — Stony point police report the death of a 14-year-old on Tuesday in a collision.

At 2:48 p.m., police received a call advising that police and EMS were needed at North Liberty Drirve and Wayne Avenue for an accident involving a juvenile on a motorbike and a plow truck.

Stony Point Police responded to the scene, along with Medics and Stony Point Ambulance.

Police said according to their preliminary investigation, the 14-year-old appeared to have been operating a motorbike southbound at the intersection of North Liberty Drive and Wayne Avenue when he collided with a privately owned plow truck.

The boy was treated at the scene by Rockland Paramedics and Stony Point Ambulance Corp, and then transported to Westchester Medical Center, where he died the next day, police said.

The operator of the truck remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.
