Rockland Walk to End Alzheimer's to Be Held October 9 in Pomona

POMONA, NY — Hundreds will gather at Palisades Credit Union Park (Home of the Rockland Boulders) on Sunday, October 9, for the Rockland Walk to End Alzheimer’s. It is one of five walks held this fall in the Hudson Valley that are collectively expected to raise more than $1 million.
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research programs. Last year, it raised more than $77 million nationwide for care, support and research efforts for those affected by Alzheimer’s.

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s draws people of all ages together to honor loved ones lost to Alzheimer’s and raise funds to fight the disease. Participants learn about Alzheimer's disease, advocacy opportunities, clinical-study enrollment and support programs and services.
Registration for the Rockland Walk to End Alzheimer’s will start at 9 a.m. with opening ceremonies at 10 a.m. followed by the two-mile walk at 10:30. For more information, visit RocklandWalk.org or contact Walk Director Karen Finnegan at kfinnegan@alz.org.
