Second Arrest Made In Spring Valley Slaying: PD

The victim was discovered last week in an abandoned building.

SPRING VALLEY, NY — A second man faces a murder charge in connection with the death of a man whose body was found in a local abandoned commercial building.

Ector Ramirez, 22, of Spring Valley, was charged Friday with one count of second-degree murder.

Ramirez was arraigned Saturday in Spring Valley Justice Court and was remanded to the Rockland County Jail, according to police.

Police previously charged Christian Guzman-Loera, 26, with second-degree murder.

According to police, the victim was beaten with a piece of lumber, then left in the freezing temperatures.

Police found the victim’s body in an empty commercial property at 10 Centre St. on Feb. 19, after a pedestrian who discovered the man led them to the scene.
