Secrets to Success: Free Workshop Puts Focus on Small Businesses
Program provides tips on business planning, working with government.
With small businesses hailed as the lifeblood of Rockland County's economy, a free workshop is offering expert advice to help small business owners succeed and help those who are thinking about launching new businesses.
The May 13 workshop in New City is a joint effort of the Rockland County Clerk's Office, Rockland County Executive C. Scott Vanderhoef and the Rockland Economic Development Corp. Bringing together business experts and government officials, the session from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Legislature Chambers of the Allison-Parris County Office Building, 11 New Hempstead Road, New City, the session includes:
- A practical guide to business planning

- Financing assistance programs

Participating agencies include REDC, the New York State Small Business Development Center, Rockland County SCORE and the Westchester/Rockland Revolving Loan Program.
