Stony Point Blotter: Police Report Two Arrests

A crash led to drunken-driving charges and a loud car stereo led to a weapon charge and more.

STONY POINT, NY — Police in Stony Point report two arrests in separate incidents Sunday.

At 11:01 p.m. Sunday, patrol officers were dispatched to Wayne Avenue for a one-car vehicle accident. After an investigation, 48-year-old Dushan Wright was arrested on two drunken-driving charges. The West Haverstraw resident was processed and released on an
appearance ticket. He is due back in Stony Point Justice Court on Feb. 20.

A 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, police were called to Franck Road over a vehicle playing loud music at 11:30 p.m. They found the driver had a suspended license and an active warrant out of the town of Haverstraw, police said. After they arrested Brad Ladino, they found he was carrying metal knuckles, they said.

Ladino, a 19-year-old Garnerville resident, faces charges of criminal possession of a weapon, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and aggravated harassment. He was issued an appearance ticket to return to court Feb. 20, and was turned over to Haverstraw police.
