Tappan Zee, North Rockland Get Top Baseball Playoff Seeds

Two Rockland County teams, Tappan Zee and North Rockland, received the top seeds when the Section 1 committee set the pairings for the baseball playoffs Monday. There will be preliminary round games Tuesday, with the first round set for Wednesday. 
North Rockland is No. 1 in Class AA and will open up against either Ossining or Horace Greeley at home Wednesday. 
Both Clarkstown schools will also play Class AA games Thursday. No. 10 Clarkstown South will go on the road to No. 7 Ketcham and No. 6 Clarkstown North will be at home against No. 11 New Rochelle.
Tappan Zee is one of four Rockland County schools in the Class A playoffs, with the other three playing in the preliminary round Tuesday. No. 19 Nanuet will be at No. 18 Riverside. No. 10 Pearl River will be at home against No. 23 Port Chester at 4:30 p.m. and No. 11 Nyack will play at home at 4:15 p.m. against Poughkeepsie.
In Class B, Albertus Magnus got the No. 10 seed and will play at No. 7 Woodlands Wednesday.
