Tenure Awarded to 22 Clarkstown School Employees

Teachers, teaching assistants and central office administrator approved for tenure by Clarkstown School Board

 

The Clarkstown School Board voted unanimously Tuesday night to award tenure to 22 employees.  The staffer receiving tenure once their probation period is completed included 14 teachers, seven teaching assistants and Assistant Superintendent for Business, Facilities and Fiscal Management John LaNave, whose name was added to the list at the meeting.

  • Joseph Harley, Special Education, Clarkstown North High School

The board voted to table a policy entitled “Elementary School (K-5) Class Size” and decided to have the superintendent review it further with principals, teachers and teaching assistants for possible revision. The board began discussing the policy in October 2012.
