TV Series Filming At Rockland County Courthouse
Lionsgate is filming scenes for a crime drama today in the Rockland County Courthouse

Lionsgate is filming scenes for an ongoing crime drama today in the Rockland County Courthouse. Preparation for the filming began Thursday when the film crew parked a production truck near the courthouse in New City.
CJ Miller, coordinator of the county’s Tourism & Economic Development Office, would not disclose the name of the television series being filmed but said more film crews can be expected in Rockland. Lionsgate is using one courtroom for the production and Miller said that was planned around the judiciary’s scheduled use of the space. The one-day usage brings in thousands of dollars.

She said the county has been working with the Governor’s Office of Film &Television and wants to be known as “film friendly.”

Miller said more crews have been scouting Rockland because of its proximity to New York City and its diversity.
“There are several projects coming in,” she said. “Several (are) in negotiation right now. We’re trying to be really competitive here.”
