WCFR Celebrates Lawrence A. DeVencentis as Humanitarian of the Year

Nyack, NY – September 4, 2025 – Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc. (WCFR) is proud to announce Lawrence A. DeVencentis as the recipient of the 2025 Humanitarian of the Year Award at its upcoming 10+4 Anniversary & Fundraising Gala, presented by APEX Packaging Corporation.

A lifelong resident of New Jersey, Mr. DeVencentis has dedicated over three decades to Apex Packaging Corporation, where he serves as Vice President of Sales. Under his leadership, Apex has continued to thrive as a trusted leader in the packaging industry, while also supporting community initiatives that extend far beyond business.

Deeply committed to giving back, Mr. DeVencentis is a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and actively contributes to numerous regional charitable organizations. His generosity and passion for service also extend to WCFR, where he champions the organization’s global mission to prevent deaths worldwide through education and training.

When he isn’t making an impact in business or service, Mr. DeVencentis enjoys traveling and spending cherished time with his wife and three children at their home in northern New Jersey.

The WCFR 10+4 Anniversary & Fundraising Gala will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Nyack Seaport, Nyack, NY. The event will celebrate 14 years of WCFR’s lifesaving mission, honor outstanding community leaders, and present the annual WCFR Scholarship Awards.
